The Nike Air Max 1 (aka Nike Air Max or Nike Air Max 87) was released in a variety of colors and fabric combinations which have given it a contempory flavor. The first retro of the Air Max 1 came in 1992. Nike used the soles of the Air Max 90 to save money on production of this shoe. Due to the mismatch of the upper to sole, this version has been in high demand to find. All of the retros in 1992 were leather, but Nike went back to its roots when it brought our the Nike Air Max 1 again in nylon versions in 1995. Nike did reissue the nylon Air Max 1995, but continued to experiment with the design, eventually reducing the size of the Nike Swoosh. To date, the Air Max continues to evolve as Nike tries to keep this classic running shoe contemporary. This Nike Air Max 1 Premium features a leather and suede upper with a leather sockliner and speckled midsoles. These shoes are part of the Atmos Elphant pack and are a quickstrike model. Atmos out of Japan/NYC are no strangers to dealings with Nike. Upcoming is a new Elephant Pack featuring the Air Max 1 and the Court Force Low. I count no less then 3 previous dealings with the Air Max 1 on Atmos' part, so it's safe to say it's a favorite amongst the Atmos crew.
